Elaina Sutula

Ballet Instructor

Elaina Sutula grew up dancing at a small competitive studio in Brookfield, Connecticut. She continued her training at Mercyhurst University on scholarship, where she graduated magna cum laude in May 2016 with a B.A. in Dance and a B.A. in Pre-Nutrition Studies. She has received additional training during summer programs at The Nutmeg Conservatory, Ballet Austin, and Tulsa Ballet, and was also invited to appear in New York City at the final competition of Youth America Grand Prix.


After college, Elaina moved to Minnesota to begin her career. She has danced professionally with Saint Paul Ballet and Ballet Co.Laboratory and will start her second season as a company artist and the Development Manager at Ballet Co.Laboratory in the fall. Some of her favorite roles to date include Sugar Plum Fairy, Ina in Peter Davison’s Bella Luna, and getting to originate the role of Clara in Zoé Henrot’s new holiday production Nutcracker in Wonderland. Elaina loves sharing her passion for dance and is so excited to work with the students of Dance Esteem!
