GUIDELINES 2021
1. Only dancers/tumblers and Esteem Staff will be allowed in the building. Parents of younger dancers can wait outside to walk them back to the car at the end of class.
2. Dancers/Tumblers must be dressed for class and have their hair up before entering the building. All students comfortable with walking to and from the studio door in just their class attire should do so. Older students who are not comfortable with that should wear the fewest additional pieces of clothing possible over their class attire to avoid extra articles in the studio.
3. No dance bags except for small ones that hold your "necessities" for class will be allowed. Students can carry their own water bottles. Right now the water fountains be will shut off and no food will be for sale at the studio. No food will be allowed in the building (parents please contact Esteem if there is a medical reason that your student needs to have food with them). Exceptions are made for students who have 3 or more hours of class time.
4. Students should change shoes and then enter the classroom to have hands sanitized. Students can line up outside with appropriate social distancing as they wait to enter the studio. Students will use hand sanitizer prior to exiting the studio at the end of class.
5. Students will need to wear masks to start as we learn how to appropriately social distance in the studio environment. *Please contact Esteem if you have a medical condition that does not allow you to wear a mask.(the CDC has some exceptions on their website). Please bring your own mask.
6. Students will be allowed to leave the classroom one at a time to exit the studio.
7. Class times will allow for one class to fully leave before the next one comes and to give us time to san- itize common touch points - ballet barres, door knobs and shelf/cubbies where they keep their water bot- tles. Any props or equipment will be throughly cleaned after use.
8. Number of students allowed at a time will be in accordance with CDC and state regulations at the time (whether that is a per square feet regulation or a maximum gathering size regulation). Classes that need to be smaller will rotate dancers from week to week and classes will be run simultaneously on Zoom if needed. We will have one Instructor on Zoom as our Zoom instructor for one or more groups so the stu- dents at home continue to receive feedback.
9. Studio floors will be marked with dance spots that are 6 feet apart to keep students safe and in their own space.
9. Additional surfaces will be wiped down at the end of the night and the studio will be throughly cleaned multiple times a day.
10. As always, students need to stay home if they are sick. Students are also asked to stay at home if anyone in their family is sick. Esteem will have the right to turn students away if they show any sign of illness.
It’s important to continue to follow federal, state, tribal, territorial, and local guidance for reopen- ing America. We of course may need to change our plan as situations are updated.
We have all had to make significant behavioral changes to reduce the spread of COVID-19. We will need to continue to do our part in these practices:
1. Follow guidelines listed above
2. Please bring your own mat
3. Weights will only be used by one person per class
4. All members will bring their own towels
5. Please bring your water bottle
