Classes begin the week of 9/13
As we prepare for our 13th Season, we continue to make the necessary changes needed to create an environment that is safe and enjoyable for everyone. We want everyone to know that we continue to work hard to give you a sense of peace, security, and confidence at Esteem. The safety and health of all of those who come to Esteem is our most important job. As we move into the new season, we know you are all making important decisions to keep your family safe. We are so grateful for your support for Esteem. Let us know if have any questions that we can help answer.
The Minnesota Department of Health no longer requires individuals who have been potentially exposed to COVID-19 to quarantine. In general, our studiol will not exclude any healthy individual from the learning environment, unless we are specifically counseled to do so in the particular circumstances by public health officials.
Like other infectious diseases, we will notify impacted families of a lab-confirmed case of COVID-19 in the classroom. The Minnesota Department of Health has its own trained staff to conduct contact tracing. We will be ready to assist MDH whenever they request our assistance in this area.
Per CDC guidelines for dancers, tumblers and anyone doing physical activity participants are not required to wear a mask. For the start of the 2021-22 year, we are putting the decision for a child to wear a face-covering in the hands of each parent. Parents and guardians are well-positioned to determine if their child should wear a face covering while outside of the home. We ask all parents and guardians to consider what is best for their child in making this decision while also being vigilant in the monitoring of symptoms and the health of their child. We know that there are a variety of positions and opinions on the use of masks, for children in particular, and so our studio and staff will be working diligently to eliminate any stigmatization for wearing or not wearing a face covering. We ask that you help us in this goal. It is prudent that we as a community accept and respect the diverse actions of others during this pandemic. Please do your part to refrain from discussions around particular groups, families, or individuals who choose to respond to the face-covering mitigation in a manner that is different from your own choice.
ARRIVAL & ENTRY
Only students and staff will be allowed into to the studio. Parents please plan to drop off participants. Students will wash their hands/sanitize hands upon entering the facility. Students will be directed with signs and from instructor guidance as to what studio to enter into, where to put personal belongings and what designated dance area they will be assigned to.
CLEANING & DISINFECTING
Hand cleaning stations will be available at the studio. Students are encouraged to wash their hands before and after each class. We recommend students also have their own personal hand sanitizer in their dance bag.
Staff will be provided a checklist of cleaning protocols to follow at the end of each shift. Staff will complete their cleaning and disinfecting protocols following regular programming or as a need presents itself. Staff will not clean the facility (with the exception of overseeing sanitation of floor spaces and other items to be wiped down by each participant) between programming during the day but will be present in the buildings for any further needs.
All spaces and equipment will be sanitized after each class with the help of all participants before their departure. Common spaces such as bathrooms and the lobby will be cleaned and sanitized at the end of each day.

During the school year season until further notice, our lobby will closed. This means all students should be dropped off and picked up at the designated entrances/ exits and parents should not enter the building. Thanks for keeping our numbers low in the building so we can continue to stay open.
AREAS NOT IN USE
Some areas of our building are out of use this school year season, until further notice.
We ask that your student arrives fully ready for class and bring their dance bag with any change of shoes into the studio with them. We would like all dancers/tumblers to bring their filled, labeled water bottle. The drinking fountain is closed temporarily.
DROP OFF AND PICK UP
Please respect our parking lot flow and other tenants in our building. Please drop off along the front of the building with your dancer getting out of the car on the building side. Please do not park/wait in the drop-off area for any time.
Parents who are dropping off their dancers, can find a parking spot and wait in the car, or you are more than welcome to leave and come back for pick up. We promise to take great care of our child.
For pick-up please park your car in the parking lot. Do not drive up. Please meet your dancer at the designated exit door. This ensures all students are walking in the parking lot to their car with their parent. As always, follow the one-way flow of our parking lot and drive slow and cautiously, as there are young children walking in and out of the lot all times of the day and night. Help us with safety.
If you plan to keep your child home please inform the studio by emailing: email@example.com You should also closely monitor your child for symptoms. If your child develops any of the symptoms below, keep them home and consider getting them tested for COVID-19.
